7/24/13: DANGERS WITH ROLLER COASTERS!

Considering the fact that a couple or few days ago, a woman died while falling off a roller coaster, specifically the Texas Giant, the world's steepest coaster, at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas, I think I should make a list of the most dangerous roller coasters.

My hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of this woman, Rosy Esparaza, who was riding this roller coaster on Friday, and was apparently fell 14 stories from one of the scariest parts of the coaster, where the train curves to the side. Apparently, she didn't have her seat belt attached as well, and she slipped and fell, falling to her death. Her son was just in the seat in front of her.

So, I do like roller coasters, and rides, but when it comes to accidents and incidents like this, I feel it's right that the world should know some of the dangers of these man-made beasts.

Particularly, a list of the world's most dangerous, and yes, most of them, are, unfortunately, in the United States.

At the end of this post, I'll add a few tips to stay safe while enjoying the ride.

Tips for Roller Coaster Safety

To make sure your safe, as well as enjoy the ride, here are some tips.

1) Know Where The Ride Goes
Pay attention and stay in line. Make sure to know where the fence is. Do not cross that fence. The raging ride is right over. They put that fence there for a reason.
2) Follow the Operator's Instructions
Follow the rules, and instructions, especially if told by the ride operator. They know what they're doing. If you can, read the rules of the Rules board in the station.
3) Check
Once you get in the ride, make sure everything's secure. Most times, the ride operator comes around to double-check, but always double-or-triple check before the ride to make sure you have your straps on tight, or any other straps secured tightly to your comfort.
4) Have Fun!
Enjoy the ride! Scream, put your arms up, and enjoy the adrenaline rush. Even if your an extreme thrill-person or an amusement part-lover, still make sure to stay safe. Never unbuckle your belt or straps during the ride, and always make sure to remember the rules.
